From pay to partnership promotions to the composition of leadership committees to family policies, there are many areas where law firms must change to keep up with the times. Thankfully, some law firms are becoming more progressive, but which firms are doing the best they can for women in all areas?

For the 19th year in a row, Yale Law Women+ has released its Top Firms report, an undertaking designed to “track[] … progress while also identifying work yet to be done” for women and underrepresented attorneys within the legal profession.

This year’s rankings were based off five distinct categories, with honors given reflecting top firms’ strengths. These are the firms being honored:

  • Agency & Flexibility: Sheppard Mullin
    • Honorable Mention: Orrick
  • Compensation: Ropes & Gray
    • Honorable Mentions: Kramer Levin; Orrick

    • Honorable Mentions: Holland & Knight; K&L Gates
  • Diversity: Orrick
    • Honorable Mentions: Latham; Ropes & Gray
